Monthly fun with crafting. Sign up for this morning class.
Join local artist, Micaela Lydon, in the creation of a shadow box, part of our month-long celebration of Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings! This is a fun and eco-friendly way to explore your creativity. Using a variety of found materials from the artist’s personal collection, you will transform a recycled cigar box into a beautiful landscape, an imaginary world, or a unique display for your treasures. Examples of materials: preserved flowers and leaves, moss, shells, trinkets, paint, gems, buttons, fabric, handmade paper, etc.
Participants are also welcome to bring any small items they’d like to incorporate (measuring less than 8 inches and weighing less than a pound). No art experience is required, and supplies will be provided.
Please Note: We will be using a low-temp glue gun, which is safe when used properly, but has the potential for small burns if improperly handled. I’ll provide silicone finger protectors and safety instructions.
