Program Description

Event Details

Japanese animated films, such as Spirited Away, introduced Americans, from children to adults to nature spirits in the rich Japanese landscape. Join this fun program to learn how Japanese people have honored gods and spirits in nature since ancient times (Shintoism) through a slide show, mask presentation, and purification ritual (priestess dance). Don't miss this rare opportunity to experience this one-of-a-kind cultural presentation!

Made possible by the Bergoffen Family Foundation.
