Household Goods Basket Drive for Welcoming Week

Welcoming Week is an annual campaign that celebrates the work in communities as welcoming places for all. This year’s theme is “Stories We Share.”

During Welcoming Week (September 12-21, 2025) and the entire month of September, the Palm Harbor Library will partner with the Largo Public Library and the Barbara S. Ponce Public Library in Pinellas Park in hosting a household goods basket drive. With the basket drive, we acknowledge the fact that local refugees and new immigrants arrive with very little, often only what they can carry in a small suitcase or travel bag.

Get involved with Welcoming Week by donating full-sized, new, unused household goods to the basket drive. Items can be dropped in the large box located in front of the bookstore anytime the Palm Harbor Library is open OR check out our Amazon Wish List bit.ly/3L8rDnB and have items sent directly to the Largo Library by Tuesday, September 30th.
